January Glossybox

January Glossybox

I decided to jump on the Subscription box bandwagon and opted for the Glossybox!

I’ve been looking at the different boxes available on the market for a few months, watching and reading peoples reviews and finally decided I wanted a part of the action.

One of the main reasons I opted for Glossybox was because of the price. I think, for what it’s offering, you really do get great value for money!

I absolutely adore the pink box theme, it is my favourite colour and can be reused as storage. I’m currently using mine to store all my product samples in: from Glossybox and other brands.

Without further a do, let’s see what I got:

Firstly we have the Nip & Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser

Honestly I’m still not sure about this moisturiser. It doesn’t specify what skin type it’s for but I’m pretty sure it’s not great on very dry skin. It probably works good as a preventative moisturiser, but as a cure, I really didn’t see much of a difference

Secondly we have The Balm Meet Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow

I love this colour! It’s so versatile. It can look amazing as a day time look but can also be deepened for a night out vibe. I blended this with a darker shade of red recently and paired it with a maroon dress. I think they looked great together! It looks awesome with a dark lip too!! It is really highly pigmented yet really easy to blend. Highly recommend The Balm eye shadows!

Thirdly we have Unani Illuminate Milk Cleanser

I haven’t actually had chance to try this yet, however it smells amazing! The consistency seems like it won’t dry out the skin and will instead moisturise and nourish the skin whilst it cleanses. I will do a full review when I try it out so stay tuned for that!

Next we have the Vitamasques Manuka Honey Face Mask

Again, I haven’t tried this yet but I’m excited to! The packet feels like it’s got a lot of product in it so im hoping this is going to be a dose of intense hydration for my skin! Hoping it smells amazing too!

Last but not least, Hairon Zero Crease Hair Tie

I have really long, naturally curly hair, so normal elastic bobbles have a tendency to get tangled up and pull a bunch of my hair out! However these have a super loose grip on the hair, but don’t fall out! They hold the hair but don’t pull on the hair, does that make sense? I hope so! They feel a bit strange until you get used to them but after a while you kinda forget your hair is even tied up!

February 2017 Primark Haul

February 2017 Primark Haul

Hello everybody!

So, at the weekend I decided I simply didn’t have enough clothes, so I popped in my car, drove to the White Rose and into Primark I went. There were so many cute blouse style shirts that I loved but I own too many so I refrained from buying anymore.

What I did need were some new Jeans/Jeggings…

I picked up two pairs of super soft, stretchy Jeggings in Grey and Black. They were only £6 each so I couldn’t say no. They fit so well, I don’t get that annoying scrunch at the bottom of the leg which I always seem to get with any leggings/jeans.

And what better to go with Grey and Black Jeggings? Grey Ankle boots!

These were only £7, an absolute steal! They are so comfortable to wear. Definitely glad I picked these up!

On the theme of Grey, I spotted this beautiful top.

The pale grey with the White flower detail definitely brings me into Spring. It’s perfect for day wear but could also be dressed up and look amazing at night! The flared sleeves add a touch of elegance. It really is a beautiful top.

French Kiss Perfume

I am not one to wear perfume, but this smells gorgeous! Its sweet and a little bit fruity. Not too over powering but it doesn’t disappear. I think the bottle is absolutely adorable. It was only £8 so I am over the moon. My Boyfriend spotted it and picked it out for me so I know he definitely likes it.

PS… Velvet Matte Lipstick Crayon

I own a few bits from the PS… Makeup collection. These crayons never let me down. I mainly own the nude shade lipsticks so i decided to push the boat out and go a little more vibrant. I love the fuchsia pink colour of this lipstick and I love the way it looks on my lips. At only £2.50 it definitely gives other brands a run for their money

And that’s it, that’s all I got this time round. I’m sure I’ll be back in store soon!

January 2017 Favourites

January 2017 Favourites

Hello everybody!

Today I am going to show you what my faves were for January…

This is primarily skin care as I’ve only recently found a good night time skin routine so I thought I would share it with you all.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

OK so wow. I’d been hesitant to try the Liz Earle products due to me having very sensitive skin; I’m always wary of paying high prices for products when i’m not sure whether I’ll be able to use them or not. After a long discussion with one of the ladies at Liz Earle, and after finding out this range was developed with Eczema and sensitivity in mind I was up for giving it a go. I must say it did not disappoint. My skin has never felt clearer or more supple. I will be trying a few of their other products next time I go into Leeds.

No7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Toner

Up until now, I’d never really found a toner which my skin liked. They all seemed to dry out my already dry skin even more. However, this one is different, it leaves my skin soft and supple, yet doesn’t add any oil. I love it! I used it pretty much all of January and I’m no more than an 8th of the way down the bottle so it will definitely last me a while.

Clarins Daily Energizer Cream

I was welcomed into the Clarins range by a sample of their Daily Energizer Lotion which was in the bottom of my drawer waiting to be used from god knows how long ago! The sample lasted me about 2 weeks of daily use so it was very generous for a sample product. I went online to try to find the full size product, but had no luck. I gave their help line a call, turns out the Daily Energizer Lotion was discontinued over 18 months ago. Now do you have an idea how long i had the sample… However, thankfully the Daily Energizer Cream was practically the same product so I went ahead and bought it. It is definitely thicker than the Lotion but it feels more nourishing that way. Definitely a win for me.

That’s it for my January favourites. I have a lot of products that I am trying this month so I can’t wait for the end of February to see what I fall in love with in the next 21 days.

Mini Lush Haul

Mini Lush Haul

Everybody loves a Lush Haul, even if it is one of the smallest ones I’ve done!

My collection is growing rapidly, faster than I can use it, but if it smells good I can’t resist. I don’t want to resist!

So here is what I got…

Soft Coeur Massage Bar (The heart)

I have never had this massage bar before but the scent is to die for! A sweet Toffee scent with hints of Vanilla and Honey, made with Cocoa Butter to really nourish the skin. With its hidden honey and Cocoa center, it will leave skin soft and sweetly scented! Pure heaven!

Tender Is The Night Massage Bar

Again, I have never had this massage bar, but its pretty design drew me in. Looking at the massage bars, they always make me crave White Chocolate! This bar is made using Shea Butter and Murumuru Butter which will leave the skin feeling so incredibly soft. The scent is Vanilla, Ylang Ylang and Jasmine. Perfect for a cosy night in and for winding down after a long day!

2 x Butterball Bath Bombs

These! These are just amazing! This is in my top 3 favourite lush scents by far. Ylang Ylang and Cocoa butter. Smells like chocolate. Good enough to eat. It dissolves in the bath and coats the skin in really nourishing oils. You almost don’t feel like you have to moisturise afterwards.

Comforter Bubble Bar

I am relatively new to discovering the Comforter Scent. It’s so sweet and fruity. Smells just like concentrated Blackcurrant with Bergamot to lift you from Sad to Happy.

The Kiss Lip Scrub

This is the second in my collection of Lip Scrubs, it smells so sweet! Made with a loving blend of Sea Salt, Cocoa Butter, Caster Sugar, Almond Oil and Mandarin Oil, it gently exfoliates the lips while providing them with moisture. Personally I think the little hearts are a bit odd. But that’s a mental thing I think. Other than that, its a great scrub!

This haul truly was a combination of my favourite lush scents. I’m eagerly awaiting the release of the Easter and Mothers Day products. I’ve seen them online and planned what I will be purchasing so i’m excited for them to arrive in stores!
